Traveling from out-of-town

For those traveling from out-of-town, there are multiple options available to get to Southampton from the major NYC airports.

Taxis/Ubers/Lyfts

• These are available at all airports, but please note, the trip to Southampton will take 90 minutes or more depending on time of day and which airport you land at. This can be a costly option, but luckily NY has some of the best public transportation options in the world!

• For those unfamiliar with NY airports, never accept a ride from anyone who approaches you in the airport - these are not official Uber/Lyft or cab drivers.

Train/Bus

• From JFK: Take the AirTrain from JFK to Jamaica Station. From there, transfer to the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) and take a train to the Southampton station. The LIRR offers regular service to Southampton, and Uber/Lyft/Taxi is accessible from there to your lodging.

  From LaGuardia: Take taxi or bus to Jamaica Station. From there, transfer to the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) and take a train to the Southampton station.

• The Hampton Jitney: From either JFK or LaGuardia, you can travel to Southampton via the Hampton Jitney bus - this is a cost-effective option with direct access to Southampton. Take a cab from the airport to the Jitney Airport Connection stop located in Queens. Tell the cab driver to take exit 25 eastbound off LIE; follow the service road until the corner of 190th Street and Expressway service road -(Horace Harding Expressway). The Hampton Jitney stop is located in front of Fresh Meadows Cineplex Odeon - a large red brick movie theater. It should be about a 25 min cab ride from JFK and a 15 min cab ride from LaGuardia.
